I had the pleasure of trying their Empanadas and Plantains, and I must say I was impressed. The sweetness of the empanada breading paired perfectly with the savory beef filling, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. The plantains topped with a unique cheese added a depth of flavor that left me craving more.

I had an amazing meal at Alma Llanera! I ordered the beef empanada, white rice, and plantains, and everything was exceptional. The empanada breading had a surprising touch of sweetness that perfectly complemented the savory beef filling. The white rice was moist and flavorful, not just a side but a star on its own. The plantains were a delightful surprise--topped with a cheese I've never had before, adding a unique depth of flavor that elevated the dish. If you're looking for delicious and thoughtfully prepared food, Alma Llanera is a must-try. I can't wait to come back and explore more of their menu!

Amazing food; amazing service!! You really should try that spot. Definitely one of the best venezuelan restaurants in Florida.

best food ever! they have a wide variety of delicious foods and the service was amazing! the food was out fast and the waitress was very kind.

Loved the Empanadas!! They did seem a touch under staffed, but we were there on a Thursday for lunch. Worth the visit.

Amazing place! I actually ordered a takeout but I ended up having time to sit and eat there. Customer service was beyond great, server even offered to clean up after me even though I had a carryout. I ordered Pollo Empanada and Pollo Mechado Arepa - both were great! The empanada was crunchy and tick - very big! The chicken in the arepa was very juicy! I will be back!

We've been here at various times and always get good service and great food. Honestly, I've never been to Venezuela, but I can tell you that these folks make some of the best arepas and cafe con leche in the area. You do need to be prepared to sugar your own cafe con leche. You've been warned. Our favorites are the Llanero (desayuno) and the Pabellon, however we've yet to have anything here that we don't like. We've never had a long wait and haven't had issues with language either (no I don't really speak Spanish at all). Don't be afraid to try something different! These folks are super friendly and happy to help you through the menu. Go eat here!!

While on vacation, I decided to check out a few new spots this week. Today I headed to Alma Llanera Venezuelan Food in Pinellas Park. I was told this place was a stand out and it definitely was today. I studied the menu before I arrived so I knew exactly what I wanted. I decided to go with a small chicha de arroz, tequenos, cachapa with ham and cheese, and their signature dish the alma llanera with pork. I orderd the food as soon as I sat and the food came out very quickly. I have had Peruvian chicha in the past and this was nothing like it. This chicha was somewhere between coquito & horchata. It was absolutely outstanding and I regretted getting a small. The tequenos are basically cheese sticks wrapped in bread dough served with a creamy garlic sauce. Hard to go wrong there. They were really tasty. The cachapa with ham and cheese really hit the spot. It was a sweet corn pancake with ham and melty cheese on the inside and topped with slightly salty shredded cheese on top. It was thoroughly enjoyed. Their signature dish, the alma llanera, was a base of fried plantains topped with pork, grated cheese, pico de gallo, and topped off with garlic & avocado sauce. It was an absolute flavor bomb of the best kind. The mix of textures and flavors really made the dish enjoyable. Overall, I had an amazing lunch. The food was on point, the service was super friendly & fast, and the price point was very reasonable. I really enjoyed my visit and I will definitely be back in the near future to explore more of their menu. Highly recommended.
